Due to the insufficient compound excitation compensation of the voltage source of the excitation device, it can not provide the excitation current required for armature reaction, so that the terminal voltage of the generator set is lower than the grid voltage and can not send the rated reactive power. During generator maintenance, the following reasons may cause insufficient power of diesel generator set:
1. Insufficient oil inlet of diesel engine;
2. Diesel fuel injection pump failure;
3. The filter element of generator set is blocked;
4. The valve of diesel engine is not closed tightly;
5. Poor atomization of diesel fuel injection nozzle;
6. The piston ring and cylinder liner of the generator set are worn.
Insufficient output power of generator set is generally power failure. Generally, this situation will not occur in the generator part. The common fault of the unit is the failure of voltage establishment when there is no voltage, high voltage, bottom voltage and a certain amount of load.
