The poor fluidity of lubricating oil increases the resistance of moving parts. In addition, due to the reduction of working capacity of battery and other factors, it is very easy to lead to difficult starting of engine, wear of parts, reduction of power, increase of fuel consumption and decline of power performance. In order to ensure that all kinds of construction machinery can be safely put into use under cold conditions, daily maintenance should be done well, and it is best to install low-temperature auxiliary starting system.

Four common low temperature starting modes

(1) Fill in cold starting fluid

Cold starting fluid is a kind of auxiliary starting fuel (composed of ether, low volatile point hydrocarbons and low pour point engine oil with additives). The low pour point engine oil with additives can improve the lubrication conditions of cylinder wall and achieve the purpose of starting. Because ether has good volatility, easy ignition and easy compression ignition, the more ether content, the lower the temperature at which the diesel engine can be started directly, but the more rough the diesel engine will be when starting. Therefore, when using cold starting fluid, be sure to fill it according to the specified amount, and do not add too much. Although this starting method can start the engine in an instant, due to the low temperature and high viscosity of the oil at this time, there is not much oil on the cylinder wall for a period of time after starting, and the lubrication conditions are poor. At the working time of the engine, dry friction will be formed between the reciprocating and rotary parts in the body, which will aggravate the wear of the parts; Therefore, do not increase the throttle after starting the engine with cold starting fluid. When starting with this starting method, the starting fluid with good atomization shall be selected, and the injection time, injection position and injection amount shall be controlled. In addition, do not spray starting fluid directly from the air inlet of the air filter, so as not to affect the quality of the air filter element and increase the injection amount of lifting fluid, resulting in overspeed of engine cold start operation. According to the above instructions, it is recommended to use cold starting liquid with caution.

(2) Flame preheating start

The minimum working temperature of the flame preheating device is - 40 ℃, and the working process is electronic automatic control. The flame preheating starting device is generally composed of electronic controller, solenoid valve, temperature sensor, flame preheating plug, fuel pipe and wire. The working process of the device is to turn on the starter after heating the glow plug to 850-950 ℃, the solenoid valve will automatically open the oil circuit and supply oil to the glow plug through the fuel pipe for flame preheating start. After starting the engine with the device, due to the low temperature and high viscosity of the oil at this time, there is little oil on the cylinder wall and poor lubrication conditions for a period of time after starting, When the engine works, dry friction will also be formed between the reciprocating and rotary parts in the body, which will aggravate the wear of the parts; Because the high temperature generated in friction can melt the metal on the friction surface, it is very easy to cause the parts to get stuck. Therefore, after using the flame preheating device to start the engine, do not increase the throttle, otherwise it is easy to cause cylinder pulling accident.

(3) Circulating water heating system (also known as fuel heater heating system)

This is a new low temperature auxiliary starting mode adopted in recent years. This low temperature starting mode is through fuel heater The attached water pump will pump out the coolant in the engine block, heat it through the fuel heater and recycle it to the engine block, so as to heat the engine and start the engine at low temperature.

The whole heating process of this low-temperature starting mode takes 30-40min, which can heat the engine body temperature to about 40-50 ℃. At this time, the engine oil can also be heated, the viscosity of the engine oil is reduced, and the lubrication conditions of the engine under low-temperature conditions are improved, so that the engine can be started smoothly. This low-temperature starting mode has obvious advantages and greatly improves the starting performance of the engine under low temperature and cold conditions. It is recommended to use it. (4) Other preheating methods

In addition to the above preheating methods, the hot water preheating method (inject the hot water heated to the boiling point into the cooling system) and the steam preheating method (the upper steam enters the cooling system from the lower pipe of the water tank through the pipe, or directly into the engine cooling water jacket) Electric preheating method (the heater is directly inserted into the cooling system or engine oil, which has high thermal efficiency and convenient use) and other methods for low-temperature start-up.
