How to start the diesel generator set?

The following describes the starting steps and precautions of diesel generator:

1、 Preparation before starting diesel generator

# before starting the diesel generator, check whether the cooling water or antifreeze in the diesel engine water tank meets the requirements. If it is missing, fill it up. Pull out the oil dipstick to check whether there is a lack of lubricating oil. If there is a lack of lubricating oil, add it to the specified "static full" scale mark, and then carefully check whether the relevant components have hidden trouble. If any fault is found, it can be started up only after it is eliminated in time.

2、 It is forbidden to start the diesel generator with load

Before starting the diesel generator, pay attention to that the output air switch of the generator must be closed. After the diesel engine of ordinary generator set is started, it needs to go through 3-5 minutes of idle operation (about 700 RPM). The temperature is low in winter, and the idle operation time should be appropriately extended for a few minutes. After starting the diesel engine, first observe whether the oil pressure is normal and whether there are abnormal phenomena such as oil leakage and water leakage (under normal circumstances, the oil pressure must be more than 0.2MPa). If any abnormality is found, stop the engine for maintenance immediately. If there is no abnormality, increase the speed of the diesel engine to the rated speed of 1500 rpm. At this time, the generator shows a frequency of 50Hz and a voltage of 400V, then the output air switch can be closed and put into use. The generator set is not allowed to operate without load for a long time. (because long-term no-load operation will make the diesel injected from the fuel injection nozzle of the diesel engine unable to burn completely, resulting in carbon deposition and air leakage of the valve and piston ring.) If it is an automatic generator set, it does not need to run at idle speed, because the automatic generator set is generally equipped with water heater to keep the diesel engine cylinder at about 45 ℃, and the diesel engine can be powered normally within 8-15 seconds after starting.

3、 Observe the working state of diesel generator set during operation

During the operation of the diesel generator, a specially assigned person shall be on duty and often pay attention to observing a series of possible faults, especially the changes of oil pressure, water temperature, oil temperature, voltage, frequency and other important factors. In addition, we should also pay attention to having enough diesel. If the fuel is interrupted during operation, it will objectively cause on-load shutdown, which may lead to the damage of generator excitation control system and related components.

4、 It is forbidden to shut down the diesel generator set with load

Before each shutdown, the load must be cut off gradually, then the output air switch of the generator set must be closed, and the diesel engine shall be slowed down to idle speed for about 3-5 minutes before shutdown.

Safety operation regulations for diesel generator set:

1. All diesel generators ready for parallel operation must have entered normal and stable operation.

2. For the generator powered by diesel engine, the operation of its engine shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of internal combustion engine.

3. For mobile diesel generator, the underframe must be parked on a stable foundation before use, and it is not allowed to move during operation. 4 After receiving the signal of "ready for parallel connection", adjust the speed of diesel engine based on the whole device, and switch on at the moment of synchronization

5. The parallel operation of diesel generator must meet the conditions of the same frequency, voltage, phase and phase sequence. 6. After the maintenance of diesel generator, carefully check whether there are tools, materials and other sundries between rotor and stator slot to avoid damaging the generator during operation.

7. When the diesel generator stops, first reduce the load, return the excitation rheostat to reduce the voltage to a small value, and then cut off the switch in sequence to stop the operation of the diesel engine.

8. For diesel generators operating in parallel, the load shall be adjusted reasonably and the active power and reactive power of each generator shall be distributed evenly. The active power is regulated by diesel engine throttle, and the reactive power is regulated by excitation.

9. Before starting the generator, carefully check whether the wiring of each part is correct, whether the connecting parts are firm, whether the brush is normal, whether the pressure meets the requirements, and whether the grounding wire is good.

10. The diesel generator in operation shall pay close attention to the engine sound and observe whether the indications of various instruments are within the normal range. Check whether the operation part is normal and whether the temperature rise of diesel generator is too high. And make operation records. 11. Before starting the diesel generator, put the resistance value of the excitation rheostat at the large position, disconnect the output switch, and the generator set with clutch shall disconnect the clutch. Start the diesel engine with no load and operate stably before starting the generator.

12. When the diesel generator is running, even if it is not excited, it should be considered to have voltage. It is forbidden to work on the outgoing line of the rotating generator, touch the rotor or clean it by hand. The generator in operation shall not be covered with canvas and other objects.

13. After the diesel generator starts running, pay attention to whether there is mechanical noise, abnormal vibration, etc. When the condition is normal, adjust the generator to rated speed, adjust the voltage to rated value, and then close the output switch to power outside. The load shall be gradually increased to strive for three-phase balance.

14. If one diesel generator in parallel operation needs to be shut down due to load drop, first transfer the load of the generator to be shut down to the generator in continuous operation, and then shut down according to the method of single generator shutdown. If it is necessary to shut down all generators, cut off the load first, and then shut down as a single generator.
