What is the function of generator set base oil tank?

The oil tank at the generator base is mainly used to store a large amount of fuel for the unit. It can be supplied with oil through the supply pipeline, and the connection port shall be convenient for the oil truck to access, and shall be closed by the lock box. The oil tank shall be equipped with oil quantity indicator and overflow alarm device connected with liquid level switch.

When the intermediate oil tank is used, an electric fuel transfer pump shall be installed. The pump shall be as close to the oil storage tank as possible and have sufficient power to transport the fuel. The oil storage tank shall be used in conjunction with the following facilities:

1) Isolation device during cleaning or repair (when multiple turbulence tanks are installed)

2) Supply interface

3) Breathing mouth

4) Overflow connection of intermediate oil tank

5) 18 inch diameter inspection port

6) Level indicator or oil gauge

7) Supply pipeline at the opposite end of the blowdown circuit

8) Filter and belly valve (where necessary)

The oil storage tank shall have pier foundation, which shall be raised by 50mm, so as to meet the fire protection standard of 4 hours and meet the requirements of medium heat convection.

All aboveground oil tanks shall be equipped with protective buildings. The requirements are as follows:

1) Large enough to have at least 10% of the remaining space in excess of the tank capacity

2) There is a leak proof oil sump on the floor

3) Walls and floors shall have access

4) Prepare manual or electric pump system

5) The metal part shall be grounded according to the local code requirements

For oil storage tanks placed underground, the underground excavation size shall be convenient for installation; During installation, the oil tank shall be prevented from being damaged by the lake layer; Pay attention to stones and metals during backfilling.
