On June 15, following the successful hoisting of unit 4 for 80 days, Lianghekou Hydropower Station on Yalong River sent another good news: the rotor of unit 3 was successfully hoisted in place, marking the completion of the important node of unit 3 and a further step away from the target of putting the first unit into operation.

At 11 am that day, the underground powerhouse of Lianghekou Hydropower Station was well lit. The huge object with a weight of 810 tons, a maximum diameter of 10.8 meters and a height of 4 meters was slowly lifted away from the installation room under the joint lifting of two 550 t bridge cranes. After one hour's close cooperation between all production teams and personnel, the rotor of unit 3 smoothly fell into the pit, and the rotor accurately butted with the generator shaft and thrust head.

After the hoisting of the third rotor was completed on March 25, a series of assembly processes such as rotor yoke lamination and rotor pole mounting were started. Each process passed the acceptance, and some processes achieved good results higher than the industry standard, which was unanimously approved by the owner, the supervisor and the manufacturer.

Lianghekou Hydropower Station is the largest comprehensive hydropower station project in Tibetan areas of China, with a total installed capacity of 3 million KW. A total of 6 sets of hydro generators with a single unit capacity of 500000 kW are installed. This time, the task of hoisting the rotor of the fourth unit is completed, which marks that the installation of unit 3 has entered the stage of general assembly.
