Since Wenchang power plant was put into operation for one year, it has generated about 3.1 billion kilowatt hours, started and stopped more than 800 times safely, operated for nearly 9800 hours, reduced carbon emissions by about 420000 tons, and successfully completed more than 30 major power supply guarantee tasks, such as high temperature, typhoon, holidays, isolated network operation, Boao Forum for Asia, national two sessions, Wenchang satellite launch and celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
Since the beginning of construction, Wenchang power plant has actively practiced the concept of innovative development, insisted on de industrial design, optimized process equipment, improved energy utilization efficiency, so as to produce better economic benefits and social environmental protection benefits, and made the surging green energy grow with the blue water and blue sky of Hainan Island.
At the same time, Wenchang power plant, as the first power plant of China Southern Power Grid to participate in power market trading and power generation side marketing, has continued to develop power users and actively participated in power market trading since it was put into operation. In 2021, the market-oriented electricity trading volume between Wenchang power plant and users increased by 435.12% compared with the same period last year, and realized the first cooperation with the power sales company, effectively expanded the user group of power marketing of Wenchang power plant, and laid a solid foundation for the power plant to continuously increase supply and sales and continuously improve the operation level.
